Coral Reef Yacht Club's beautiful clubhouse was purchased by its first Board of Directors from the George Engle estate in 1955. The general nature and object of the club was and still is to associate together residents of the Greater Miami area and other persons having a common interest in boating; to provide boating and social facilities for its members and their guests; to promote good boating practices; to bring to light the advantages of this area as a yachting center and to promote regattas and other types of marine competition.

Steeped in history and tradition, Coral Reef Yacht Club has grown to be known as a premier yachting center. For almost fifty years, sailors from all over the world have entered through out stately royal palmed driveway to participate in some of the best competitions in the world of yacht racing.

CRYC Race Committee is second to none, its youth sailors have gone on to become Olympians, and its current youth racing team has made the Club proud, winning competitions everywhere they go.
